Finally, our Special Thematic Strand co-ordinator will work with the IMC team to split the STS thematically into multiple sub-strands. We then put these into the strand index, alongside our 39 permanent strands, to create a useful tool for you to find sessions you're interested in by theme!

Finally, our Special Thematic Strand co-ordinator will work with the IMC team to split the STS thematically into multiple sub-strands. We then put these into the strand index, alongside our 39 permanent strands, to create a useful tool for you to find sessions you're interested in by theme!
We then pass these on to our programming committee, made up of international experts who each handle one of our 39 regular strands, our Special Thematic Strand Coordinator who handles the STS each year (this year's is 'Temporalities').

Hi Jeroen, it seems you may be referring to the IMC strands. As well as having paper index terms, the entire programme is also divided into 39 strands by the IMC team, which then become the Strand Index in the programme book. You can find out more here: www.imc.leeds.ac.uk/about/progra...
