And the people hated him, because he spoke the truth.

(Please be wrong.)

The "philosophy" behind how you approached OT0 is so healthy that it'll make your name stick in my mind for future reviews. Many reviewers, like the consumers you speak of, approach games like they're trying to "outwit" their themes. You went in wanting to enjoy yourself. I identify more with that.

I'm always fascinated by how much I loved ISAT and have been given reason to believe I'll love Truth Scrapper, but disagree SO HARD with so many of your takes.

The universe has so much room for contradiction.

I did a whiskey advent a few years back, with scratch off labels so you could blind taste before learning more.

I learned that I really do prefer Canadian whiskey... and that expensive older whiskey really does taste phenomenally better. Stupid expensive tastes.

I feel like someone will make use of this. It's sized as a Discord sticker.

The Dark Ages.

Fully agreed. Retro is trying some things out here, and I think in reasonable ways: we don't have "open world Metroid" but we do get an open area between zones. We don't have "ally Metroid" but we do have areas where we get allies.

This all just reminds me of "Metroid can't be 3D" before Prime 1.

My wife and I watched Lower Decks together. I've been a lifelong Trekkie, while she'd only seen Voyager with me and a few TNG episodes. Since then (her idea), we watched all of DS9, TNG, SNW, some TOS movies, and even Prodigy. We've since REwatched LD, to enjoy getting more references this pass.

So, you're onto SOMETHING in that people react to the sword no longer being there. But you've got to assume less, and explore more. ISAT is a lot more about poking things to see what happens, and discovering things, than it is about knowing what to do (at least until a much later act)

Oh, that's not the Weapon to kill the Boss. It's A weapon, but it's not actually plot important. A Weapon To Kill The Boss is something else you'd find elsewhere.

Explore around during loops, follow plot threads. There's more to explore, and don't worry that the King keeps killing you.

I have to say, I'm a bit confused. Just to be clear, are we talking about a specific knife?

Beating the boss is a way to progress some things, but it's not the only way to make progress in a loop. Also, it IS possible to get that weapon again. But really, don't over fixate on the boss. The path there has a lot more to discover every loop than just the boss fight provides.

It's a story game wrapped in an RPG style. Explore the various plot threads, more than the obvious RPG goals, and the game will progress in different ways.

I find it difficult to imagine that ANY liquid in Kirk's quarters isn't liquor. INCLUDING aftershave.

God, I love all of Data's "open mechanical part" prosthetics. Sure, they may change randomly, but they were all so COOL. I always loved that head one that they could plug the cord into.

I came looking for the Borg Arm accessory, and there it is. Good job.

I think if the background was just lower contrast, it would help so much.

I love the IDEA, but agree that it would be hell to look at for more than a minute.

I had the one with a screen, and a fancier keypad that looked like a magic stone; I can still hear the voice lines.
"MAGIC SQUARE"
"SEEK THE GRAIL"
"DRAGON DANCE"

That is unmistakably a TNG era holodeck.

Glad to see it getting some more life: there was a LOT of out-of-pocket hate for it at launch, above and beyond any legitimate issues with the bugs (which they've fixed, along with improving stealth systems).

ND-5 ended up an all time favourite droid for me, by the end.
