Looking around further, I was remembering in the wrong direction: it's LATE series (seasons 5-7) that Geordi has a silver VISOR. The connection points certainly look different, but I can't see the Identity Crisis one well enough to tell if the silver body is the same. (Picture from Interface, S7E3)
