Reynard the fox and Bruin the bear; I thought that that would be fun new characters to draw/paint and add to my daughter’s room.
I have a book almost finished that I want to put out before she turns two, another for 3, another for 5… this may become my project for year 4 :)

The gray man of Pawley’s Island
For day, six of folktale week, the prompt was “storm”
I decided to draw the gray man. Legend has it, he died tragically while coming to see his fiancé. My wife and I were married here, so it has some significance to us! #pawleysisland #americanfolklore #folktaleweek

I’ve been working on a kids book for a while. Basing it off of two things, the ideal day of ecological exploration for my 15 month old daughter, and an adorable picture book about a dog called “ run fast, Milo” by Julie Soto.
I plan to call it “What Juni Sees,” and it’s for emergent readers

Hand drawn, animated book trailer for a class on children’s literature. Going back to school to get my masters in school library has been such an enjoyable and awesome experience.

An animation I made for a friend’s book trailer. Been enjoying making these! So time consuming even to do something simple like this when doing frame by frame though ! #animation #handdrawn #framebyframe #skateboarding

It’s staggering to think back to all the times when my mother told me to turn off the screen, and come do something with her that would’ve likely made an impactful memory, and my response was always “ just five more minutes.”
I wish I had just five more minutes, Mom.

Here is some wholesome content. Portraits of my wife, her parents and I are taking our 11 month old around the beach for the first time. So cool to get to show her the spot where we were married. #watercolor #ocean

Here is a 6 panel comic strip that I wrote yesterday. Hand drawn with microns pastel Le Pen set. Navigating social media is succeeding difficult sometimes. Just remember that you’re behind the scenes it’s not the same as somebody else’s masterpiece theater

Just a drawing of my favorite kid covered in food, laughing, and being way too goofy and hilarious for how young she is.
My wife and I also found ourselves giggling at how my doodle makes her look a bit like Louie Anderson. (Could be worse, since he was the best )

Time is wild. 10 months of napping her in my arms. Every day I hope it’s not the last time before she starts needing to sleep in her crib. I know it’s coming soon

Six men I was inspired by growing up who no longer walk this earth.
I can hardly wait to introduce my daughter to every one of them, and their unique moralities.
Do you recognize all 6?

Happy Father’s Day, especially to those of you who instill love, goofiness,
and creativity in your little pals!
