I always found I had to turn my mobile off and give it five minutes before turning it back on when with 3 and visiting Soton.

I switched to Honest recently. Only a few niggles so far.

Yes, afternoon London was a sweat fest and the WeWork we were in had the air con go down and of course windows were futile to the centralised big meeting room we were in.

There’s definitely people who email saying “Happy Friday” and just because of their roles, I know that whatever follows is probably NOT going to be leading to a happy Friday (or a decent finish time) for me 😅

I do the whole “I hope this email finds you well” thing and may add “…and that you had a lovely weekend.” (Also something admit pleasant bank holidays as Greece gets a lot of those 😂 )
Neither are questions but also polite enough to keep me “in” with people.

…or is this just another example of me being “too empathetic” at work.

I’ve had people mention my levels of empathy in meetings and while it all seems polite on the surface, I am more paranoid that it’s a sly dig that I give too much of a shit 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🙄

I had to go out to move some fallen wooden planks (cheers storm) that had fallen onto the veg patch frames and there was the smell of spring-incoming in the air. Not the smell OF spring but the change of season air that happens in late winter. ❤️

Plus we’re out in the country so no long car trips and faffing with parking or feeling bad about leaving the boys…

I’ve become such a recluse and I kinda love it. All I miss is the beach and sea swimming 😢
