My dudes! My first (ever) sunflower came into bloom yesterday and now I feel like Monty Don should be calling me any day for a Gardener’s World segment.

My youngest fur son had his balls removed today. They gave him methadone. He’s just walked into the lounge, ignored the fact that I was working (trying to make up for time lost after immediate post op pick up helicopter parenting) and flopped himself on me. Why does his come down look so comfy?!

I don’t care how sad this makes me: I harvested my first lot of homemade Hot Bin compost yesterday and I couldn’t be more proud. 🥲

Mistakes were made, but I’ve learnt from them (no twigs/branch cuttings in the bin from now on).

Seeds are currently germinating ready for planting soon. ❤️

Also yes to ghost stories during the autumn winter time. I don’t know why I found this sort of stuff so comforting at this time of the year. ❤️

I’m poorly and getting over a work trip (social battery, TOTM & a cold on top is not The One), but I’ve tidied the house and had a full shower, and me and the cat are relaxing with the fire on. While there’s still so much to do around the house, I feel so at home here. ❤️
