We prefer to keep our eyes wide open — clear about the past but always focused on what gives us life, what we are building together.

So when we got the chance to partner on Operation Dream, visualizing what 20 years into the future could look like for New Orleans, it was a clear YES for us.

We already have folks afraid to ask for help, even in our community spaces, because of ICE. Now we will have folks afraid to ask for help in general. This Executive Order has real, immediate impacts. Pay attention.

Hey, can you tell us more about this? We don't know you and we did not send yall any money. The account you have linked here is a fraudulent, spam account that has been impersonating us. Your website is also down -- who can we contact to talk to about this?

Lastly, relationship is what has always kept us the most safe through storms of all kind – social, political, and climate related. That also starts with knowing who we are.

We are the *most active* on Instagram but will also update folks here as often as we can. See you in the streets!

We also do this out of protection for the land that we steward, knowing that we come from a place that is heavily gentrified and extracted from, even by those in the nonprofit sector. We refuse to be a part of that pattern. You should know folks – and know who is making the decisions.

We've chosen to remain very public, despite the danger it creates for our team, who are mostly trans and BIPOC.

We do this because we know the importance of being able to verify sources quickly when it comes to life or death information like disaster preparedness and relief.

You should never be confused about what we're doing or who we are (big red flag!). If it's confusing, it probably isn't us.

Our work is transparent, and our names and faces are... well, in more places than we are comfortable with, lol.
