ADA Upgrade @ Woodhaven Blvd: $40m saved thru better design - the elevators go straight to the platform instead of the usual ground-to-mezzanine and mezzanine-to-platform elevators. This will be used in at least 2 future stations to cut costs further. [5/8]

Rockaway Resilience (happening now): I know this one hurts! But it's already ahead of schedule. The Hammels Wye Viaduct is already demolished. And the South Channel Bridge is getting desperately needed upgrades. You can see the entire room rusted over in the photo it's kinda crazy. [4/8]

Turns out that for Google Wallet users, using tap-to-pay for transit without unlocking your phone requires your screen to be on.
For comparison, Apple Pay works with the screen off.
