According to IFAB (who UEFA takes their guidelines from), the protocol for all VAR reviews, including offsides, is always only for "clear and obvious errors". I guess the argument would be that since offside has less judgement involved, that if the call differs it must have been "clear and obvious".

The NFL rulebook very much does not say that. Maybe at lower levels (someone else said they call it that in the high school rulebook, but this was an NFL game, so I dont really care what those rules say).
