Dumbledore crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. He was such as awesome rat - kind, gentle, patient. All the young rattie boys loved him. You will be missed big guy.

Chickies spent a couple of hours in their chicken run this afternoon while I worked in the garden. They loved it. I'll start taking them out there for a couple of hours each day. I've also purchased them a bigger pen for the house until they can go out full time.

The boys love their playpen. They had fun while their cage was being cleaned.

Guys, I'm a new chicken mama. Their covered run is finished and I have their automatic door to put in their coop. The little guys will be in the house for the next few weeks. We're excited to watch them grow. These will be much loved pets and live out their natural lives here.

The boys are so excited to be in a basic double after being in a prevue cage for a couple of days during introductions. All is going well and we'll add more things and open other sections if they all continue to get along.

Intro day. Boys (5 adults and 9 babies). Girls (8 adults and 5 babies). So far, so good. Taking the opportunity for a big clean and scrubbing cages. Both groups will have a quad critter nation.

This is what you are meant to do with a chainsaw - not performative Nazi shit. My son and I cut up a fallen tree for our neighbor and we used the logs in our tall raised beds.
