1. "Rainy Night in Georgia" by Brook Benton

This song is perfection in 4 minutes. Brook's voice, his guitar, the feeling of loneliness, all perfect. It's almost a lament and a lullaby at the same time. LISTEN TO THIS SONG AND FALL IN LOVE.

2. "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" by Bob Dylan

This is my personal favorite Dylan track. It was between this and "Mr. Tambourine Man." I just think this song is prettier and more succinct. The heartbreak is tangible in the lyrics as well.

3. "Lonely Rolling Star" by Saki Kabata & Katamari Damacy Sound Team

A video game song in the Top 3!? Yes. This is the happiest song in existence, but it's actually a song from the singer to her dead friend. You really feel the melancholy poke through once you know.

4. "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure

This is the other song that sounds like love. A different kind of love, but still. This has been one of my favorite songs since I was a little, little kid. It's so 80's in the best way possible.

5. "Gentle on my Mind" by Glen Campbell

Just beautiful. This (and one other song here,) is what love sounds like. Glen's voice is magical. I hope everyone can find someone who's always gentle on their mind.

6. "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals

This is my go to karaoke song. The message is so perfect. And it's backed up by perfect vocals and instrumentation. Listen and be filled with hope and revolution. Party like it's 1999!

7. "Ohio is for Lovers" by Hawthorne Heights

One of the most noticeably well produced tracks I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. If this was a technical list this would be near the top. It helps that it's also a screamo anthem for the ages.
