Deeply into elections, also deeply wrong about 2024.

“I don’t cheat. And while I think we have some pretty smart people around here, it’s a hell of a lot easier to be first”
There is zero chance they punch through that budget with a 3 vote majority in the house. Especially after I’m sure Trump will say it’s not enough.

Boy, this is going to be a messy divorce between Trump and Musk when Trump realizes Musk is stealing his spotlight and is more then president than he.

Well if you were wanting to see if the US economy can withstand tariffs, you’re about to enter that timeline.

If that really was a PAT UH-60, that would be……uhh not good.
January 30, 2025 at 3:07 AM
I think the stock market isn’t going to gradually react to Trumps actions. I think it will be an instant snap rather than a gradual fray. I think stocks are still pricing in that tariffs are all talk.

If he puts them into effect, look out.

Man, Trump is really playing with fire. The economy is the one silver bullet he has. He can get away with a lot if the economy is roaring.

If these tariffs bite the American consumer, things will get real, really quick.

It’s absolutely mind blowing that certain groups are shocked by what Trump is doing when he spelled it out word for word for two years.
January 26, 2025 at 3:14 AM
That McConnell vote is a bigger shock than I think people realize.

Dude is going to take a world of hate and he had to know the vote count and his no wouldn’t do anything, so why cast it. Take the yes and coast on through.

Hmmmm.

Boy, I cannot wait to see how markets tomorrow take these tariff statements. Not sure jacking prices up Autos and food is the path to take.

We stand on the precipice.

Well know if we jumped off in I’d say 6 months.

@conorsen.bsky.social Kind of a jolt to see this kind of email today.
January 16, 2025 at 11:08 PM
Is it just me or is the financial data and just general vibes feeling………pretty bleak for this year?

Carlsen drops from Rapid and Says he’s out on Blitz too.

Literally said “Eff you” to FIDE as well.

Insane hill to die on for FIDE.

@conorsen.bsky.social Merry Christmas!

Gonna be a heck of a new year.

As a wise man once said “Hallelujah, Holy Sh*t. Where’s the Tylenol?”

My god, Carlson just annihilated Nepo in the WCC. Holy cow

@rotopat.bsky.social I’m not saying Yahoo is having issues but I’m unsure if this is Guentzel’s real stat line.
December 18, 2024 at 1:33 AM
Man, the Connolly over AOC this is just………stunning.

Is Democratic leadership really that blind? Did you not see how the previous election just went? And you stick with the status quo geriatric democratic leadership?

Boy, they really have a hard few years ahead of them.

Best wishes to Randy. Never will get those Patriot teams. Just straight domination over the top.
December 14, 2024 at 2:30 AM
@conorsen.bsky.social Boy, reading Passan talking about Siri’s contract on here…….sure feels weird.
December 9, 2024 at 3:56 AM
If you don’t think a challenge to Obergefell you are blind.

And if you don’t think there’s a good chance they won’t gut it or strike it down completely, you’re even blinder.

Sen. Jon Tester, living his best life, does not care to answer questions about Joe Biden pardoning his son: “I’m about to get the fuck out of here. Ask somebody else,” he tells reporters with a wide smile.

@conorsen.bsky.social It’s going about as bad as expected but I’m not sure he realizes that the amount this crap people are willing to tolerate is directly tied to the economy. If the tariff crap bumps inflation, unemployment and consumer confidence crashes, I feel like a lot of this is moot.

I’m not sure I realized how much of an impact social media had on my life.

After this election, removing X, and only checking this in moderation, everything feels much more muted.

A good muted.

Well, I bit the bullet. Twitter account deactivated. Just can’t support that platform anymore.

I’ll be just fine.

Looking back at the final NYT polls, I was confident. The Selzer poll added to it. As did final state polls. I was very confident.

Then poof, I felt like the first 5 completed counties out of IN and KY told a completely different story.

Not sure I’ve had my priors destroyed like that.
