A7: Medicaid has a long-term and multi-generational impact on mothers and families. Healthier families may lead to healthier individuals who can get an education, work, and earn more money. #WellnessWed #MedicaidMatters

Self-care is not selfish. It is required for building and maintaining resilience.
Seat belts, everyone 💚

If you’re on the struggle bus, please remember your seat belt (your seat belt is self-care). It is NOT selfish to prioritize your mental health, take care of you.

Visit your local library or favorite bookstore, watch your comfort show, drink some water, pet all the dogs…
💚

I adore SPL and Libby has been amazing! I’ve gotten to read so many great books and it’s so cool to get to find “available now” audiobooks whenever needed.

SPL Central (in downtown Seattle) is an amazing piece of architecture. I used to use its music practice room when I lived in a tiny studio.

It doesn’t matter if you believe this means his confirmation is in the bag (fair). Write or call your senators ASAP to tell them to vote no, even if they’re Dems. They need our pressure, our voices, on the record.
here's video of every single Republican on the Senate Finance Committee voting in favor of making RFK Jr the director of HHS

As far as I can tell, @barnesandnoble.com is one of the only places you can pre-order Wicked on physical media that hasn’t pledged to and/or started rolling back DEI policies. It’s on sale right now, which is an added bonus.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

If you’ve dealt with the US student loan system, consider going to www.studentaid.gov and downloading your aid data. You’ll get your loan info in a plain text format off the website in case you need it later.

So something I’ve noticed among younger Gen X (think Xennials) and younger is that many aren’t going to see family for the holidays this year. The reasons are completely understandable: 1/3 (maybe)

Hello Bluesky!

I'm a mental health human in Seattle who loves geeky things, books and information, and cats.

I'm writing more and am looking forward to connecting with other writers, as well as sharing hopefully helpful information for folks coping with *gestures broadly*.

Nice to meet ya!
