You should also check out the forums. I had an issue that I found the solution to from a post from 2019! It's a small community so far, but I've found them very helpful. Plus the devs themselves often pitch in to help if you get stuck. Hope this helps.

As for resources, I'm learning from the examples; breaking the code and looking up stuff in the docs to figure out what I broke and how it should work. It helps me figure out the error messages on the console too. The free Zenva Defold courses also really help and I'd recommend them.

... get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward. It just has a different way of doing things. You do have to implement a lot of things by yourself, which I at first found daunting, but with time, I've come to appreciate it. Feels really good to make up your own features or renderer.

I haven't used it for very long, but I like it because of it's small footprint. That was really the appeal for me, that it's games use minimal system resources. It's definitely more bare-bones than Godot and it has a rather steep learning curve at the beginning compared to Godot, but once you...
