Non-reverse Gibson Firebird. I have one from the mid-'60s with the same coloring, but with 3 black P90 pickups and the original vibrato (now removed because all it did was pull the strings out of tune).

The Japanese is meant to say (ha!) "today I went for a forest bath. I sprained my ankle a bit, but I don't regret it. I don't regret it, ok I regret it a little." Forest bathing is also a thing in Japan. Anyway this photo is of Great Turkey Pond in New Hampshire. Today is sixth anniversary of pick-up day. The rescue told us she was 11 months old ($200 more for a dog less than a year old), but her paperwork from AR showed she was vaccinated 5/2018 and was already a year old, so she's around 8 now. Named her Aki (autumn in Japanese).

We named her Aki because it's 'autumn' in Japanese. (Funny thing: it was snowing that night and I was tense driving home; she came from the rear seat, gave a single lick on my right cheek and then went back to the rear seat).

Went for a stroll in the woods near Lake Massabesic in Auburn, NH. Came to an ambiguous trail and had to pull out my phone and look up Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" to read to my wife. She took out her phone and shot back an Emily Dickinson poem. And thereafter our dangling conversation.
Just a photo of an old granite stone fence broken down from a path in the shade onto a field full of grass and wild flowers with autumn trees in the distance. On a trail starting from the Audubon Center on Lake Massabesic in southern NH, the photo looks through a leaf-covered floor with fallen limbs and granite stones into yellow and red leafed-trees in the distance.

Cool. I was able to revisit Takkoku no Iwaya Bishamondō in Hiraizumi this summer and to see the face in the rock wall (said to have been carved out by archers).

Three photos of a small Okinawan island from today (Iheya-island):
A long row of hibiscus bushes with red flowers on the right side of a small gravel road that has a rice field in the mid range with sugar plants slightly more distant and then a forested hill with blue sky behind. On Iheya Island, Okinawa. On the northern coast of Iheya Island is this unique formation of rocky outcrops that have been shaped by water, wind, and sand over hundreds of thousands of years (likely). Interesting stratification. Just now at a local festival with a large straw rope for "tsuna-hiki" tug of war. The festival is to ward off bad spirits just as the harvest season sets in. Also a sumo tourney for anyone--kids to adults (but I didn't want to post photos of kids).

We went to the remains of the Nakijin stonghold/castle/gusuku in nothern main-island of Okinawa today. Fascinating history, but I also caught this one getting a long drink of water in small pool in a shady nook.

Did the Orion Beer factory tour in Nago City, Okinawa. Learned the code 75-0140 (na-go--o-i-shi-orion) for the yeast (酵母）
cans of Orion beer on the process line. Cans of Asahi Super Dry that are made at the Orion plant ready for packing (Asahi owns Orion now). The bar at the tasting room. Our driver, so both he and his child got complimentary soft drinks. The rest of us tried two styles. A new one called Shimaboshi had a hint of jasmine in it. From the front gate, the Orion signage on large tanks on the side of the factory.
