I saw her live at The Batley Variety Club in West Yorkshire, sometime in the mid 70's. She could belt them out for sure. Still had the beehive. I guess it was part of the image which had to be maintained.

"So I asked Mr Sinclair, what do you do with all the failed motherboards from the spectrums?"

"Oh we bodge them and install them into the C5 control system." he replied.

The boy done good. Not bad for someone who started off on the production team of Z cars, then went on to make classic TV adverts like this one :

Whatever he gets, he would say it was the hardest golf course anyone had ever played and he had done well, very well actually, to finish as he did. He would go on to accuse everyone else who had ever finished the course on a lower score of cheating and threaten to sue them unless they pay him.

Certainly one of the classiest cars on British roads in the 70's.

Versatile, but oft confusing word, Bollocks.

A load of bollocks = very bad

The dogs bollocks = most excellent

Went to the cinema to see it in 1977. quite scary...but not as scary as Shivers, which I saw at a midnight showing in Rhyll, Wales in 1975. I was just 16 and it scared the crap out of me.

IMHO, one of the greatest bands ever. Only in the spotlight for a few years, but they created some of the best music ever. I still listen to them several times a month.

Bought a Sony Walkman in 1984. Used it without any problems until about 1998, when I made the flawed decision to move to cd. By then I had a collection of maybe 150 albums on cassette. My brother was happy though, he took the lot for peanuts

A good example of overreach. This can be easily balanced out by committing to limit your bucket list to activities involving fruit.

It's unlikely he gives Qantas any thinking time now, except to check if there are any more share options which can be cashed up.
