I'm so sorry to come back to this, but this part has been bothering me for months now: Milo's finances drive me CRAZY. How... do you get like $200k from preorders and immediately think you have to put EVERYTHING back into your company? Why did you think you have to employ your artists?
My sales came to a screaming stop. My revenue projections were thrown out the window. I had a team of 20 artists I was either contracting or employing. All of them were furloughed. I failed them with my entrepreneurial attitude. I took financial risks and put all six figures back into my business. My business, the same one that suddenly stopped making money. Why the hell didn’t I put some back into my savings? I couldn’t even stay afloat myself, how had I cared more about Gardian than protecting my own livelihood?

We’ve also put the 1st Edition e-book up on our website at a discount, because I am tired of my work getting pirated.

Omg, that last sentence.... "Redo the book, and I’m money-obsessed." How can you STILL not understand this? The reason people had issues with this was the fact that you had PREORDERS up immediately after announcing you were redoing the book.... What's not clicking??

God, I'm sorry I'm on this topic again, but Audra's world building makes no sense to me. Why would you even risk having a child that's not part of your Union if you have to give it into FOSTER CARE if that happens?? I don't care how robust their foster care system is, that's my literal child??
Text from a Patreon post titled "Gardian's Foster System" reading "As becomes evident in the early chapters of The Age of Scorpius, life in Gardian is dramatically affected by one's sign - including where you can live and thus, whom you can live with. Each Union is composed of three signs: Assiduous (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), Conviction (Scorpio, Aries, Libra), Autarchic (Cancer, Pisces, Sagittarius), and Societal (Gemini, Leo, Aquarius). Families usually form within Union groups. But what happens when parents have a child that's born with a sign not of their Union? Family planning is available, of course, but as we know from our own world, it doesn't always work... The Stellariums (council of leaders) of each sign have set up a solution for this - a robust foster care system involving infrastructure from several signs, but administered principally by Virgo & Libra."
