your aunt lived in an infirmary because she was cruelly lobotomized for being mentally ill, then your grandfather told everybody she was dead. why? because there were no diagnostic tools for mental illness, and no good treatments. that's why you never heard of this stuff.
RFK JR: ADD, ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Narcolepsy, Autism.. All of these are injuries that I never heard of when I was a kid.

Guacamole is made of avocados, but the word 'guacamole' itself contains 'avocado' too.
Via Spanish, 'guacamole' stems from Classical Nahuatl 'āhuacamōlli', literally "avocado sauce".
Its first part, 'āhuaca-', is the stem of 'āhuacatl', which became 'avocado' in English.

The crazy part I only learnt recently is that Old English 'fneosan' comes from the Proto-Indo-European root *pneu-, relating to breathing; compare Greek-derived terms like 'pneumonia' and 'pneumatic'!
I've always loved the fact that the word 'sneeze' is the result of a historical accident. The original form, in the Middle Ages, was 'fnese', but someone mistook the 'f' for the long medieval 's' and wrote down 'sn-' instead.
Fneezing sounds much more like a proper, nasal sneeze.
