Korra's strength is also entirely independent of her being the avatar. Most of the time she's just a brick shithouse bender who's been training for years. She does remarkably little multi-element stuff for ages.

The Avatar spends a lot of time as like the second best bender at best in a given scene a lot. There's a lot of people who can reasonably claim they've beaten the avatar's ass. Sparky Sparky Boom man did it repeatedly until Sokka got him.

For all the many many many issues fable 3 had it was very funny to just go 'nah, i have such personal wealth i can bankroll any social policy i want' when it went 'But will you make hard choices to fund the save the world army?' and the game just let you do it.

Nazi Victories 'Being really fucking lucky not to get spotted going through a horribly unsafe place to get past Maginot Line, which would have shelled them off the map had they not dumbass lucked their way through.' likely doesn't sound as impressive.

I do find it funny that people talk about Rey being 'a Mary sue because she beat Kylo' like Kylo wasn't doing that entire fight with a bowcaster shot having turned him into an edgy doughnut rapidly losing all it's jam filling.

I am very amused about how my current vampire game has 4 vampires who desperately want to avoid having to deal with politics and one of them has dumbassed his way into 'technically the local ruler' entirely against his own will.

I am genuinely afraid of how badly they're gunna handle Changeling: The Dreaming 5e. A book that absolutely drips with cultural and mythological aspects, for all its many many flaws.
I'm sure they'll go 'Look, if you remove the Irish from the Fae, Nothing Of Value Is Lost' in liberal smugness.
