Sounds a bit like PAYG Witholding here in Aus. Between that and pre-filling of tax returns it means if your financials are not super complex, your end of year tax return is very 'Does this look good to you? Cool, we're done'.

Like the various 'Let the red states suffer without blue state support' leads to a lot of 'North Carolina went super red with...50.86% voting for Trump'.
I don't have sympathy for Trump VOTERS but I do think that a lot of the discourse there tends to focus on 'Red/Blue states'.

...I'll admit, while I don't have as much vitriol for her as others I'm kinda baffled by her as a choice.
She was for full on decades the punching bag as an 'out of touch, barely human politician' by things as mainstream as SNL.
That's a level of baggage that's hard to overcome for any campaign.

Meanwhile I am seeing red with rage over the CHOICE for some of this Cozy Shit. As an Australian, the idea of basicly grabbing the sort of horrible circumstances that were part of the Stolen Generation as the backdrop of a 'Cozy' story leaves me apoplectic.

I personally find value in it. It's like Fairness or Justice. Things that don't physically exist but do exist in the mind and affect people.
I get the annoyance if it's sold as Real History but it's a politician's job to try and define their National Identity as the concrete one.

One of my favourite LOTW characters was Glacier Jade, a warrior of the Yun clan and daughter of the Glacier Maiden. There's a lot of things you could do with that but because I bought 'Glacier Maiden' as an actual loresheet it was clear to the GM that 'I HATE YOU EVIL MUM' was a big focus for her.

The big issue with how many good projects @opensketchbook.bsky.social has is that I keep being tempted to tinker with them myself. One of her more recent ones, Riposte, is a framework for tabletop wargames that I'm resisting doing my own thing for.
Also because I'm a parody of myself.

I've been working on a new Irish Mythology Inspired Lancer Book for a while now, this one solo.
It's not yet done but I've finally compiled the parts together into a document for people to take some first looks at it, which I hope is interesting.
