My dad grew up poor on a farm. Then he and his brothers went to college on the G.I. bill and rode the shift in farming practices to own something like a fifth of a township now. They contract the cultivation of all that corn & beans to an agribusiness and treat it like investment dividends 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anecdotally, my family being anti-queer didn't make me think I should stay in the closet; it made me think that their baseless objections weren't worth respecting 🤷🏻‍♀️
