To everyone in a similar scenario: the tactic my doctor's office has taught me is to ask, in writing, for:
1) the name, board specialty, and license number of the doctor making the determination the treatment was not medically necessary;

I see some really important roles for educators and parents to address this for students, but I sometimes wonder what it would look like for peer groups (of students and others) to be actively and earnestly supporting *each other* to create in their own voice and to be mindful of how/when to use AI.

While it doesn't make the current problems with AI any less bad, I think there's been a much longer social problem of people simply *not caring* about their own thinking or creating something in their own voice: copying a friend's homework, copying a textbook/speech/source, copying Wikipedia, etc.
