America is imploding. Decisions are not based on reality, but on a distorted vision of reality, one coloured by MAGA propaganda. Having embraced their deceptions, the electorate have retreated into a fantasy where hard facts are easily dismissed. They have become architects of their own destruction.

The threat of annexation is quickly escalating. Tariffs are likely only the start of Trump's agenda and aggression. What's next? Sanctions, import/export restrictions, trade embargoes? Plausible? I'd never have thought so a week ago.

Experts have said trade action of this magnitude has the potential to shave billions of dollars off of Canada's gross domestic product (GDP) and plunge the country into a painful recession requiring government stimulus to prop up the economy.
