American economic threats, authoritarianism, and growing isolationism are seen as a repeat of historical tragedy. Understand, therefore, that Canadians view American leadership and media references to a "51st state" as both ignorant and repugnant.

This is the type of leadership we need in Canada. Direct, forceful, and unafraid. Poilievre, Smith and Rustad are strategically inept. Promoting a path of appeasement and capitulation will prove catastrophic. Outdoor cross-country rallies should be staged to demonstrate our solidarity and resolve.
