Dans cet épisode du « FondaMental Talk », nous accueillons Laurent Groc (CNRS/Université de Bordeaux/Fondation FondaMental), spécialiste des pathologies neuropsychiatriques auto-immunes, Frédéric Villega (CHU Bordeaux/IINS), médecin et chercheur engagé dans le développement de nouveaux traitements, et Yveline Gallusci, mère d’une jeune patiente ayant souffert d’une maladie auto-immune. Ensemble, nous allons explorer une avancée scientifique majeure qui bouleverse notre compréhension des troubles psychiatriques et neurologiques : l’immunopsychiatrie.  Ce nouveau domaine de recherche, à la croisée des neurosciences et de l’immunologie, montre que jusqu’à 20% des troubles psychiatriques, comme certaines formes de psychose ou de troubles bipolaires, pourraient en fait être liés à un dérèglement du système immunitaire.  Et la bonne nouvelle, c’est que si l’on identifie cette cause, il devient possible d’adapter le traitement en prescrivant des médicaments existants ciblant le système immunitaire.  Chez certains patients, ces traitements peuvent vraiment faire la différence — là où, jusqu’à présent, rien ne fonctionnait et aucune explication claire n’était trouvée.  Hébergé par Ausha.
