The detention of Mahmoud Khalil puts all Americans fundamental rights at risk. And if you can’t see that because you oppose his politics, well that’s exactly the reaction Trump and his cronies are counting on. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...
Mahmoud Khalil’s Detention Is a Trial Run
The pro-Palestine student was arrested without due process for exercising his right to free speech. He will not be the last.

cannot overstate the degree to which i am negatively polarized against nimbys.

like, if you go to a public meeting to speak against lower cost housing i think the city should eminent domain your house and your house specifically
The first several speakers at this morning's comprehensive plan meeting have been longtime homeowners in Seattle's wealthy Madrona neighborhood, arguing that a two-block "neighborhood center" where some apartments will be allowed, saying it will destroy their neighborhood.

20 years ago we were suing teenagers for millions of dollars because they were torrenting a single Metallica album and now billionaires are demanding the free right to every work in history, so that they can re-sell it.

i’m getting breaking news that DEI was not in fact responsible for the problems at boeing
When 'ruthless' Boeing cut costs, the damage spread
Boeing's leaders are tepidly admitting the shareholders-first, workers-be-damned strategy was flawed. It's an admission a generation in coming.
