In regards to Burma (Myanmar), I used to say "What is this Burma or should I have my Doctorate in the Communist Party revoked?". About the situation with Christians being persecuted by a Buddhist-majority/military junta, it makes sense that they are Theravada, not Mahayana.

It’s only fascism if it’s exactly like 1930s Europe, otherwise it’s just sparkling far right, hyper-nationalist populism that deploys antisemitic & racist propaganda in defense of a nostalgic concept of the traditional patriarchal family supposedly besieged by culturally-foreign & degenerate others.

In most societies, a very large proportion of people will become aggressive and angry after 3 days of not eating.
Food supplies will not be spread evenly, which means some will have been without food for 3 days while others still have a month of supplies.
