Not developed yet, but Sunnyvale CA just ~recently upzoned a massive chunk of land to allow for a somewhat ped-focused urban area.
Part of the design is to have bus/lightrail run straight through the center.

No thanks. AB 413 is a fantastic bill that improves pedestrian safety while removing subsidized private vehicle storage on public right of ways.

I just want to clarify that I could get rides or borrow a bike instead of walking 11 miles during the VTA strike.
But I’m choosing to walk and document it to reach riders, help them, and build my platform so we can have more support in the future.

So I totally sympathize with the situation, and I understand that not everyone has the means to do so, but I'm curious: why not utilize a bike?
Bike+bus/transit has been such a game changer for me with regards to getting around without a car. And now, especially so, when there is no bus at all.

Can I ask where you got this slide -- I want to reach out to VTA to try to figure out what Sunnyvale needs to do/can help with to get more TSP for its bus network.

Does this mean the 523 has TSP, but only at like 2-3 intersections?

New state law in California. In 2024 it was only a "warnable" offense. Starting January 1st, drivers can now actually be cited.
(though SF has said they're going to give drivers _even more_ time before they start enforcing...)
