You don't have to be a for-profit game designer to receive the diversity sponsorship. "Releasing" just means making your game available to the general public. The goal is to help you break into the industry. As for "tabletop" it's a bit of a misnomer: it's analogue games, ie "not video games".
Q1. When you talk about 'releasing' games, is this only for commercial ventures? Or would it also apply for games that are more about being building blocks for social events?
Q2. Since LARPs are mentioned, I assume that these 'Tabletop Games' don't necessarily need to involve a table?
