But I know she is in good hands of friends who love her as much as I do. I know she lived a good life, and I loved on her as much as I possibly could before I left. I knew it was possible that she wouldn't be around when I got back. I just didn't expect it so soon, but it was her time.

I never realized just how heavy and emotionally taxing it can be to pick up your entire life, sell all your valuables, and say goodbye to life long friends. This was a dream I never thought I'd be able to achieve. But here we are, about to live in Japan for the next 2 years.
