Congratulations to Sarah Perez, our San Francisco Vice President, on being sworn in as a delegate to the SF Labor Council last night!

We’re going to keep our labor movement strong so we can stand up against the Trump Administration’s attacks on our city.

As part of their attack on public services, the Trump Administration has reduced the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) workforce by roughly 30,000 positions. Cuts to VA workers mean cuts to healthcare for millions of veterans.

Today we picketed outside the Solano County Health & Social Services building. Instead of bad-faith bargaining, Solano County should invest in recruiting & retaining the experienced workers who provide vital county services.

We're ready to strike if we need to to keep our public services strong.

In Solano County, our union coalition’s contracts have officially expired. It is egregious that the County is using rising healthcare costs as leverage against dedicated employees and their families who call Solano County home.

Many Local 21 members, like [Jonathan] Knapp, are employees of state, county, or city governments, and saw Saturday’s [No Kings Day] action as a moment to show solidarity with the federal workforce.

“When they come for one of us, they come for all of us. We stand with them,” he said.
