It’s true that you’re probably not going to convert someone by roundly humiliating them for being a moron - but you’ll convert a lot of people who may have silently agreed in a totally permissive environment, but do not want to end up similarly labeled a moron.

It’s wanton OPPRESSION of Liberal groups.
Saying it’s a “crackdown” implies that it’s somehow ok. Like a crackdown on filthy rich tax cheats would be ok.
Better to call it what it is: OPPRESSION.
