I did not realize I was so mad and grieved about this until you put it into words for me.

To be fair, not that my mom retired and I lost my deals, I am in shock at how expensive it actually is. I'm suddenly wondering who the heck can afford this and can I make frames out of branches in my yard (maybe?).

I used to work as a professional picture framer while in college, and my mom is a framer also. I don't have the income to not be frugal, but I do have a bunch of professionally framed art. Probably an extreme outlier, though :).

I live in a blue bubble with clearly defined margins in central PA. Fwiw, we now see very few Trump signs once we leave the bubble. I drove hours on a very rural highway recently and only saw one. After years of high-density and high-effort signage in rural PA areas, the current lack is notable.

what if the firehose of fascist shit isn't wiping out the memory of the electorate? what if it's just hitting different things? and idk it seems like a persisting problem to me that dems aren't in lockstep with and fully tied to no kings, possibly the biggest social movement in american history

This is a good point. Fishing is considered a quietly honorable, folksy thing to do here in central PA.
