'Right to buy' was the quickest way to end social housing & create an entire generation of landlords. Fast forward to today when it is unheard of to have a tory Councillor who DOESNT have a vast property portfolio and young couples cant buy a house because there are literally none left to buy.

The first Bourne is amazing if you like that sort of thing. Kinda sweet little romance mixed in with the story. Really original concept, if you don't know anything about it.

I'm white atheist. I was there at trafalgar yesterday to watch this performance and I really love my London Mayor. Best mayor we've had. It's a plus that he's not double dealing with Russians while in office.

Important to note, the stories could well be true so researching would be diligent. One observation I would make is the New York Times amplifying a story that is likely to appease a foreign governement. Definitely a public interest story, but also quite convenient.

Slightly bad take. Shen Yun is certainly not based in China. It styles itself as 'China before communism' and emphasises the rich culture that existed before Mao, so its likely to be unpopular with the current governement there. These stories are very much in line with standardised smear campaigns

There are a worrying number of young people on my timeline that think because capitalism/democracy sucks right now, that we should consider giving communism a go?!?! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Not sure anyone here understands how extreme some of these audiences can get. Ian made a mature defence of himself & partner against unprovoked public attack, from people they considered friends. He points out bad behaviour &tries to be conciliatory. Avoiding I/P is necessary to avoid chaos ensuing

I sort of agree.Many human societies have created abnormal behaviours,which are often dysfunctional.This happens in both com/cap systems.What I dont agree with,is the idea that we need to 'retry' comnsm because USA sucks.EU is capitalist with socialist features. Much fairer than USA but not comnsm.
