I don't have the files on hand anymore, unfortunately. And at present I'm not working with Stride engine, though I may contribute back to it in the future.

As reward for listening to my long-ass woe about the whole situation, have a first look at Default Guy v2 and the Galileo Assault Rifle for SCREENCLEAR in Stride Engine 4.1.

I would still heavily recommend Stride though for porting 3D Unity games to. It's rewarding being on the cutting edge of game development, though it still has its downsides and inconveniences, it's simply not as easy as Unity.
I'm still mad about the whole choice but hey, win some lose some. [3/3]

However this is a huge amount of work and refactoring as I go along is definitely taking a lot of time.

I can shave off some tech debt and probably a lot of weight from switching off of Unity so I'm electing to focus there.

That said, what a rough rough time to be going through. [2/?]

Adding a post-connect method that gets called whenever the parent node is set.
