Something I don’t think has been discussed enough is how the job of a public health official is now almost impossible. If everyone everywhere has all the same information at the same time as the scientists, then they simply have no space to develop comprehensive briefings and plans.

While much of this is indeed bad, I am hopeful that the legacy media will be forced to report accurately now looking at what’s actually going on rather than report by trying to curry favor and work on book deals. This could actually lead to better overall media.

Oh my god… the “yep”s. I was an intern in a us magistrates office while in law school and one of the other interns said “yo” to the judge. The clerk read him the riot act. That was behind closed doors in chambers to the lowest level federal judge. This is public and to the Supreme Court. Wow.
