Hey! Hiring for a very hands-on, impactful #techart position on our *new* IP. No worries: you'll co-op with the whole RED on tech (incl. me on #TheWitcher4)

We develop a mad amount of custom #gamedev tech for #UE5 so that's great for growth

We just released a talk called "PCG: Advanced Topics & New Features in UE 5.5", see what cool things you can make with PCG in Unreal 5.5!
(note that this is more of a showcase than a tutorial) #uetips

Data Validators in Unreal Engine are great, but they only notify you of what's wrong. Team members might still come to you and say "it gives me an error, can you fix it?"

Well, Aaron Bostrom from Tanglewood just showed me that you can now add a Fixer which users can click to fix things! 👀 #uetips

5.5 added the console variable “tick.AllowBatchedTicks” which will automatically group together simple tick functions. It gives a bit of a boost to tick heavy projects but I'm keen to hear results from anyone that's enabled it and seen what happens! Anyone tinkered with 5.5 yet with info? #UETips

I wrote this technical art post some time ago on mixing 3D and 2D for Wizard with a Gun. Seeing a lot of games come out with this art style lately, probably inspired by Octopath Traveler and similar games.
