Day 8 and 9 of #smaugust2025

Feline, and Fan Art.
1 Little dragon gecko has found a cat to clamber over. Cat doesn't mind, they are dreaming of having wings.
2 I picked an artist whose dragons I love and tried to do little dragon gecko in that style. I got out the watercolour paint for this one.

Little drago.n gecko is upon their back and hanging in to the cats ears Little dragon gecko is in the style of Dragons of Wales dragons, with the fire limb being a wing, and spikes on their head. They are in a bold green with red wing membranes and they look a little scary.

Day 7 of #Smaugust2025

Tower

Little dragon gecko is quite small so the only tower they know is a tower of crisps.

But it's still fun to climb.

*Other brands of crisps/chips are available.
A purple cardboard tube of crisps. Little dragon gecko is climbing up the right side of it with their tail clinging to the left at the bottom of the tube.. A few crisps have been left out on the left.

Day 5 of #Smaugust2025

Little dragon gecko is exhausted and has found somewhere comfy to sleep.
A nice warm bed of gently glowing coals and cinders.
Little dragon gecko is laying on a bed of still glowing coals and cinders. Their head is orientated to the bottom left, their wings outstretched are outstretched and their tail is curled up in the top right. Their limbs and feet are flooded like a puppy.

Jungle

Little gecko dragon is exploring the windowsill world outside their terrarium and it feels like a jungle.
Little gecko dragon is sat on a big green leaf and watching a purple butterfly that is sat on the bottom right corner. Other leaves and a flower crowd the top to suggest a jungle.

Don't know if little dragon gecko is forbidden to leave their jar or chase the bug..(or eat it)

You decide.
Little gecko dragon is on the left and they have their head, one wing and one hand out of the jar. Little bug is scuttling up the side of the jar on the bottom right. Dragon is green with gold eyes and highlights. Bug is purple with white spots.

Ok we have got to August. So this year I've going to have a go at the drawing challenge #smaugust2025.

Day 1, terrarium.

A tiny green gold gecko style dragon with red , sticky feet is clawing at the glass. It's gold eye stares out while it's small wings are partly unfurled, and it's tail is curled under one foot impeeding it's efforts.

I am on a #Pterry reread of the city watch -because May = 'Night Watch" in my head.

Love these books

Having a painting sort of day - trying out some bookmark shapes because I can try lots of things at once.
It's still #trees and #leaves 😜
5 watercolour stripes of paintings. Top is a spooky type with blue purple sky with stars behind a backdrop of misty hills and a skeletal tree. Next is a teal green sprall with a vine of small bronze leaves. Middle is a purple and teal green sprall with delicate silver leaves. Fourth from top is dark purple curls with heavy bronze line and leaves. Bottom is a sunrise sky with dark misty mountains and a dark green fir tree on the right. They are all laying horizontal but I painted them vertical.

Day 28 of #FebruTree

Yes it's a day late but I've drawn all 28 trees. 💙💛

It's a hopeful tree for the first day of Spring and St David's Day. 🐉❤️

Day 22 of #Februtree.

I tried some gouache out of a #Scrawlrbox I got a bit ago. It's really interesting and intense.

Then a marker drawn tree in various greens with a few ones in a posca white.

I like the layers.

Quick and simple today.

I didn't want to waste acrylic paint on my brush the other day so I scrapped it onto some mixed media paper.

Then drew the tree tonight in posca pens of black, reddish brown, cream and white.

Just needed some green to brighten up the day.
