jacinda ardern's 'a different kind of power' is as special as she is. it's one human putting to paper their experiences with all their doubts, hopes and fears. no fuss, no fancies. nothing between her and her reader.

welcome to my new favourite room! ✨📚

when you read as much as i do, a comfortable reading nook is everything & i can’t wait to tackle my TBR.

speaking of which, what book are you currently most excited about? and whom would you recommend it to?

wait… you organise your books by COLOUR?!
if there’s one comment i hear over and over, it’s this one.
like i can’t be a ‘serious’ nonfiction reader if i sort my books this way.
but to me books are fun, colours are fun, and using colour to sort books is a LOT of fun.

like every booklover anywhere, i own a lot of books & i have a book buying problem 🫣🫣

but, every great story begins with a blank page—or in this case, an empty shelf 📚✨

any guesses, as to where I’ll go from here?

i regret not reading it sooner.

what could be more of a classic than ‘the art of war’ written 2,500 years ago? i was surprised how much of the book is about #leadership such as the well-being of troops. no wonder it's still one of the more hyped #business books.

i picked up 'moody' by amy thompson hoping for a better understanding of how my body works. instead, i got dumbed down #science and a glorified sales pitch for the app of the same name. do not recommend.

in my opinion, there are 2 key takeaways from 'white fragility':
1. racism is not an ‘either / or’ binary but rather a continuum & 2. the challenge is to accept and grapple with this truth.
