The fact that each version has major differences, and the ride or die community for the game just recently made a custom patch to combine all of them and expand it even further makes it a hard choice for me.

The only thing I know about expedition 33 is that it's an RPG that people I don't care about absolutely love, and everyone I actually pay attention to don't even acknowledge it. I vaguely know the plot kinda? And I'm like "is this just logans run the RPG?"

They posted the tail end of their conversation with the dev, and other people posted the start and while it doesn't sound good, it does come across as the artist having some kind of history with badgering the dev.

In these kinds of situations, I'd say more investigation is required to make a solid opinion. Bsky drama has been historically missing context to start fights. I searched up the originator of the claims and while it doesn't exonerate the dev, the artist does seem to have personal beef.

It doesn't help that this entire section is a late game optional area, so people who didn't even GET to the section got a false impression of this. They just got "the game used AI" and didn't get told that it was a joke at the expense of AI.

Not only that but they mixed in stock footage and real footage recorded by swery, to make it seem even weirder. They also paid the people whose voices they used for the AI text to speech.

Quite literally this is NOT something the game should be chided for doing because they were making a joke.

While mode 6 was never used in an official capacity, do you know of any fan projects that would have used it? Or perhaps just a tech demo of it? I'm curious as to how it would be visualized.
