Through thumbnails and sketches I build the compositional dialog my imagery is based on. I want to communicate, but also want people to consume various messages in the semiotics of my work.

Q: Tell me about your practice!
My creative practice is about the social condition and storytelling. I am always looking to research a subject when I have something important to say. I want to get to the factual information I then turn into visual messaging.

My communication medium is oils; the visual work is about the human condition, and my research is about illustration and race. I go big with most things I do!

Q: What’s your hometown? Where do you live now?
Southwest Missouri is where I call home. It gave me a good appreciation for the outdoors, but helped me strive to reach farther, leading me to KC where I currently reside.
