It's a complex picture for sure. People are still buying EVs.
At least there are options and people respond accordingly.
If I got it right ~20.6% Diesel/Diesel Hybrid in October for cars and utes aren't quite 'most' new car sales though.

Looking at www.geonet.org.nz/news/4O1zMlf... I'd say that has to do with more energy being directed at south america.
That then probably means the reflections to NZ can be larger than the direct wave (albeit being smaller as the initial wave towards south america).
