they're also available by default in New Super Mario Bros., but the selection compared to Super Mario 64 DS is trimmed down somewhat. (that being said, it was nice of them to give certain returning minigames a visual touch-up, like the Wario minigame where you guess what coins are in what blocks)

i can't really tell if it speaks to tastes in level design or gameplay feel though

crazy to see the most tightly designed new super mario bros game under the slightly more loose later entries (well i guess 2 was also not as loose)
