There have been some swans on flood water near to The Fold at Bransford for the last few days. They’re a bit too far away to identify properly but I’m trying to convince myself they’re Whoopers. Have there been any reports of them in Worcs? #worcsbirds

A visit this morning to Upton Warren might be my last chance to reach my rather modest aim of seeing 100 birds this year. I’m just a few short. So any sightings added to #worcsbirds would be appreciated!

Nice to hear @pierrenovellie.bsky.social name WWII as a special interest on Evil or Genius. I would challenge him to a fact off with my son. I asked him to write me an essay on the Soviet counter offensive in 1943. It started with events in 1919.

@englishheritage.bsky.social I lost my membership card. I can’t log into the membership area, I don’t have my membership number… it’s on the card!! The AI bot tells me to refer back to joining email. I don’t have it any longer. Ask it to refer me to human, it won’t. I think I’ll cancel it.

While saying they want to "preserve nature" the Conservative Party have just pledged to scrap the Climate Change Act.
This makes no sense.

I finally got chance to get to Croome but only a ‘flying’ visit. Didn’t find the ibises but a reed bunting made up for it a bit. #worcsbirds

I’ve had no chance to see the Glossy Ibis around the corner from me so I was really pleased to get to Slimbridge and find there was one there… but not while I was there. Consolation of seeing several common cranes. #worcsbirds

I just picked up a night heron on Merlin between Malvern and Ledbury. Is it still at Grimley? I wonder if it’s heading west. Bodenham lakes might be a stop off next. #worcsbirds

More to come yet, maybe the next election will reverse the decades long trend of falling participation in our general elections. Taxation without representation is wrong. So is representation without taxation - foreign billionaires own most of our media.

A 2% tax on wealth of £10m and above wouldn’t scratch the surface, no rich person will go hungry….but it would raise enough money to ensure no child goes hungry or lacks a bed to sleep in - we end poverty in our country by taking a tiny sum from a tiny number of very wealthy people
