You’re welcome. I just wanted to alert other women - and the men who love them - as many friends had no idea that purple breasts could indicate IBC or even that inflammatory breast cancer is out there as a different and dangerous form.

Thanks for educating about IBC! While IBC symptoms usually only happen on one side, any changes to breast skin should indeed be evaluated by a doctor. I’m glad you were able to get help.

Good for you for self-advocating. Whenever there’s a suspicion of IBC, diagnostic screening, etc. should be expedited. Prognosis is better these days but only with timely diagnosis and correct treatment. And that is not often the case.

Thank you for educating people about the need to get swift evaluation - and systemic barriers - when inflammatory breast cancer is suspected. It could have moved to Stage IV in two months. I’m very glad it was ruled out. #thinkibc
