Painted a bit more of Grombrindal today. The base is finished (just needs to be glued, but that needs the rock in first!) and I'm blocking out colours and starting highlights on the body.

Checked out some of the dressed wells in Malvern this weekend. The theme was "folklore and fairy tales".

By far the best two: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and Eco Bhakti Sangha's Krishna and Kaliya (with SO MANY BANGLES making the snake!)

The Green Knight - a large suit of armour (probably 12ft tall) made from green corrugated plastic, lying down as if sleeping on his side. His axe is a large plastic head with a length of tree trunk a few inches thick as a handle. A close-up of the Krishna and Kaliya well dressing. There is a multi-headed papier-maché snake in the middle, a drawing of a Hindu character in the middle, and a long snake made of hundreds of gold and multi-coloured bangles draped across the front.

There was some good light in the conservatory today, so I didn't procrastinate and I did some painting. Highlighted up the red.

I was a little unsure as I painted, but it worked out okay overall. Crimson Gore to Blazing Orange.
