The three that won tonight are newcomers and are liberal aligned, although the positions are non partisan. If all holds, liberal aligned members now have a 4-3 majority. They promised to undo the book bans and all of the other stuff the conservatives put into place over the last 2 years.

Disappointed but not surprised, UH (and other Texas universities) is still dealing with SB17, and now they have this new regime to deal with. With SB17, UH has been playing very quiet and strict to the letter, because there are groups in Texas right now trying to catch universities in lawsuits.
