I spent almost five months in an artist residence in Spain, volunteering, but also creating art. I made 31 paintings there (free story link in next post). The table was big, but not big enough, so there was only space for part of my work. That's me and my wife in the background.

THROWBACK THURSDAY
On this day in 1997, I finished "The Bird" (acrylic on canvas, 50x70cm). It was one of three curvist animal pieces I made for my exhibition that would start the next day.

My 1997 solo exhibition was my "big break", which marked the beginning of a full-time career in art.

One of the pieces was this curvist painting, called "Another Mary", painted in acrylic on a 60 by 80 cm canvas.
