Husband, dad, paediatrician, ex-editor, CCIO Ride a bike too. Take your pick. Don't like these opinions? I've got plenty of others.
Sad to hear of the death of Brian Patten.
This poem, shared with me when I was at Uni, might seem a bit trite but really spoke to me, and got me to read some poetry, probably for the first time I didn't "need" to for study.

Day 3, Melton Mowbray to home.
Tail winds, but I took it slow the first half as I was meeting a friend for some lunch. So much to see...

Day 2, Cambridge to Melton Mowbray. Lots of wind, and when I finally turned out of it there was a diversion that added 10 km! Beautiful day. Places in the alt text.

Out and round a fabulously hilly peninsula.
All the sorts of scenery.
And two coffee breaks - go me!
Just lovely.

Visiting some old and some new Cornish roads, North Coast (sort of) to South...
Damp and could have been miserable but it really wasn't - even when I couldn't even see the sea from the coast road back into St Ives.

And this morning I tried setting out with a destination in mind - Dalish Bakes near Tardebigge - but no fixed route in mind... Went down some new (for me) roads. Had cake so needed to work that off!
Lovely ride.

Being a bit of a wuss today so decided to walk.
Feels like the trees sprung into green all of a sudden. The Horse Chestnuts are in full leaf.

A longer faster ride today. Amazing how much better a high street looks when it isn't used to store quite so many cars...
Blue skies and sunshine and coffee and teacake.

Went out on a gentle bike ride with a friend earlier - demonstrating to her that you can see some beautiful stuff with surprisingly little effort, a few pedal turns from home.

Oh, and coffee and a brownie help...

I was watching a bit of Pacific Rim last night and he didn't look anything like this.

There are very few times I agree with Kemi Badenoch but this is one.
I only disagree with the bit where she says, "for a while".
I'd say "forever"
