Jay's Movie Thoughts-Fantastic Four
Personally, I love the Fantastic Four. I've read almost every comic since the mid 90s. And this movie adaption of it was basically every bit the movie I wanted. A flawed and predictable movie, but I loved it all the same feeling happy and good at the end.

Personally, I love the Fantastic Four. I've read almost every comic since the mid 90s. And this movie adaption of it was basically every bit the movie I wanted. A flawed and predictable movie, but I loved it all the same feeling happy and good at the end.

This movie is good. For me, it was like the 1st Guardians of the Galaxy formula applied to new characters & done well.

Oh it's good monster horror movie. It starts slow to let you get to know the characters and feel for them. And then the fateful night happens and it's all anticipation to the foreshadowed outcome. Great acting job from the cast. Good sets and scenery. Great pacing.

I've never played the game, nor have I developed nostalgia for the game. At best, I've watched others play it. Because of that, this movie wasn't for me and just felt like a bad "Jack Black being Jack Black" movie. But I did hear lots of applause from others.

Huh. So Avengers: Doomsday will have various Avengers and Thunderbolts, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men without Jean Grey, Storm and Wolverine. Interesting.

Movie Thoughts: Captain America: Brave New World
This is exactly the kind of movie Marvel needs to keep doing. Is it great, no. Certainly not compared to biggest Marvel films of the past. But it's still a decent movie that I feel would hold up to be just as good as several of the early MCU movies.

This is exactly the kind of movie Marvel needs to keep doing. Is it great, no. Certainly not compared to biggest Marvel films of the past. But it's still a decent movie that I feel would hold up to be just as good as several of the early MCU movies.

My Movie Thoughts: The Companion.
Great murder suspense sci-fi movie. Glad I only watched the first 30 secs of the trailer so I wasn't spoiled on the plot. Tells a good, interesting story in a short time. Jack Quaid is just like he is in his other roles and loved how he was different in this.
